SALT LAKE CITY — Utah Gov. Gary Herbert is expected to provide a COVID-19 update at a news conference Tuesday as the state is experiencing another ongoing spike in cases of the disease.
The news conference is scheduled to begin at 12:15 p.m. and will be livestreamed here. Utah Department of Health state epidemiologist Dr. Angela Dunn is also expected to speak at the event.
Herbert held a meeting Monday with the state’s unified command for COVID-19 response, and a major announcement is possible today, according to state officials.
